Our History
In the later part of 2004, Spearmint30 and a group of real-life friends who played RuneScape together decided to form a clan with a few mutual in-game friends from around the world. Launching the most mid 90's-esque, basic looking website you can imagine, we managed to recruit more fellow players to our group through just the random chance of us being found in Google search results. (You didn't dare mention a website URL that wasn't RuneScape.com back in these days! Some will remember...) While we never made it "big", nor was that really our goal, we had a great time hanging out with each other and chatting. In these days before friends chat and clan chat channels, our website and forums were the hub of communication with some branches out in instant messaging platforms (such as MSN Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, etc) and, of course, in-game private messages. As all of the real-life friend group was the same age, 2007-2008 came along and it was time for us to start adulting. While we all stayed mostly in touch through 2012, it was clear that the time we had for RuneScape was significantly reduced and, ultimately, we decided to close up shop in 2012 and take a break to focus on life.
The Break to the Present
Popping in and out of the game for brief periods from 2012 through 2018, Spearmint30 finally found the time to reintroduce RuneScape to life and began playing more regularly. While the old friends from the past have not returned, new friends were met through the game who share similar goals and ideas about playing as a group and meeting new friends through a clan. With help from these new friends Killrlord, Charleyyy, Torch3d, Oberle, Lynnea, and 66skittles66, the revival of RSPClan 20 years after the initial founding in 2004, was chartered. Leveraging the collective passion of this re-founding team, we aim to be a clan for friendly chat, skilling together, throwing down some events, and building an awesome Citadel with fellow down-to-Earth RuneScape players.FAQ
- Why is this clan so small and seemingly quiet?
Well, to be honest, we're just starting out. If you decide to guest in our Forums, Discord, or In-Game Clan Chat, you might sometimes find it to be quiet as our members are often both busy IRL and/or locked in on an in-game task. That being said, however, our members are quite friendly and align with our goal to ensure our clan offers a welcoming environment to anyone who wishes to join us and help us continue to grow. - Where is the best place to ask questions?
Essentially, wherever you'd be most comfortable asking. Our home page provides information to register for access to our Forums, an invite link to our Discord, and you may certainly ask right in our CC. You can also reach out to a member of our staff (ranks Admin+) directly if you'd prefer to have a one-on-one conversation.
